One thing that you should know about me is that I am a complete productivity nerd. At any given time you may find me reading a book about productivity, trying a new inbox management system (on a constant quest to achieve Inbox Zero), or listening to a podcast about how to maximize the 168 hours we have each week. It is questionable whether the productivity gains I have achieved have offset the time that I’ve spent researching, but I’ve certainly enjoyed the process!

My passion for making things work efficiently and effectively carries over directly into the work that I do for my clients. The majority of my career has been focused on the intersection between business processes and technology. I enjoy working with clients to improve “pain points” – areas where performance is lagging or they are struggling to get traction. In most cases there are simple strategy, process, and technology solutions that can enable a dramatic improvement.

I also enjoy working with organizations and teams to improve their performance and delivery methods. I’ve found that many of the same principles that apply to personal productivity and effectiveness can be applied to organizations and teams, including clear, strategic communication, enabling team members to understand and develop their unique and collective strengths, and finding time to reflect on results.

I am thrilled to be working with the team at Thought Ensemble. I appreciate that, while each of us has a unique background and perspective, we have a shared focus on developing innovative solutions for our clients. And, fortunately, our group is more than happy to debate burning topics like the most effective method for taking meeting notes and the best new apps and podcasts!

Some of my favorite challenges include:

  • Helping clients to solve problems and achieve efficiency gains through thoughtful process design
  • Working with organizations and teams on communication planning and performance improvement
  • Planning and mobilizing programs related to our strategic recommendations – I love to see the results of our changes in action!
