My career’s emergence into business transformation consulting was unconventional. I started my career as a senior analyst in the actuarial group at a life insurance company, ultimately spending over ten years in the industry before earning my Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE). Upon receiving my degree, my career took off in a direction I never imagined when I accepted a position serving as an engineer in the Aerospace industry, but then shifted a few years later when I was presented with an opportunity to join a “Big 4” consulting firm. This career move proved to be perfect for me, allowing me to leverage my analytical thought process while also enabling me to pursue my interest in business transformation.
Since then, I’ve had opportunities to serve Fortune 100 clients across multiple industries, helping them with their strategic transformations related to their organizational structures, their business processes, and their technology, including through the implementation of SAP S/4 Hana. More recently, I’ve been focused in the Financial Services sector, working closely with executive level client leadership to deliver technology solutions via leading industry practices while building strategic relationships across the business. Driving the efforts that lead to the success of my clients is why I am enthusiastic about consulting, as it fosters an opportunity to partner with organizations to help them innovate through the implementation of leading-edge technology and digital transformation.
Business transformations are never straight forward. The challenges are complex and multifaceted, albeit imperative to an organization’s sustainability – and that’s why I like them.
Some of my favorite things include:
- Deconstructing at-risk programs and rebuilding them seamlessly, such that they are operationalized to support an organization’s transformation mission
- Building high-performing teams via thought leadership, mentoring, and the sponsorship of culture transformation efforts, such as diversity and inclusion, as critical success factors
- Reverse engineering, and conducting, usability studies
